Sadique came into the football scene at the age of 18 years old, breaking into the first 11 of Mohammedan A only playing a handful of games for Mohammedan B. Sadique comes from a very talented sporting background playing Hockey at national level and also scouted to play for England U16 during his school years. His great assets are non-stop running and pinpoint delivery, together with the ability to deliver deadly free kicks.
His first tournament when playing for Mohammedan A earned him senior status and his nickname emerged ‘Sadique Bhai’. He went on to score numerous goals in the tournament and his 2 goals in the final earned him the player of the tournament on this first senior performance.
Always busy and inventive, Sadique possesses a rare blend of skill and application and has recently become more clinical in front of goal, topping the scoring charts for the club in 2009/10 winter season. A great favourite of the Mohammedan faithful, Sadique was voted as the Young Player in his first season of Bangla League.
Sadique has won a host of personal awards including Players Player of the Year in 2009/10, Young player of the year in Bangla League, Player of the tournament in Oldham, Most Valuable Player in New York Sonali Cup, also he has been selected for the Sporting Bengal FC and participated in FA Cup & FA Vase Cup.
Sadique has been an inspiration to his fellow team mates, always giving 100% in training and match. Although Sadique is one of the most gifted players, he is not shy for a good hard tackle and is impeccable in his heading abilities considering his height.
